The room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable double bed and a nice bathroom. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, lending me a phone charger for my entire stay. The location was great, close enough to a U-Bahn station to easily get to the city center, and right by the river.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

I had a fantastic day exploring Berlin thanks to the easy bike rentals from the hotel. The receptionist gave clear instructions and I followed the canal, past the old Berlin wall, and through the city. Lunch at Alexandraplatz was the perfect way to end the day. I would definitely stay at Hotel Johann again. I highly recommend this hotel.
